HIV/AIDS and Gay Rights activist, Bisi Alimi is over the moon right now as he tweeted today.  He had been an Asylum Seeker in Britain, after coming out as gay in Nigeria. Today, he officially became a British Citizen and is loving it.

Model Amie Joof is the newest face to promote the new HIV awareness campaign launched by the Terrence Higgins Trust and backed by the Department of Health.

In her own words, Amie said that " It is very important that we all go out and get tested as that is the only way to reduce and eradicate the HIV / AIDS menace. Not catching it early might mean you have only 10 years to live whereas catching it early can give you 75+ years.  Gay and bisexual men and African communities are the two groups at highest risk of contracting HIV in England. "
